Updated the Comprehensive Floodplain Management Plan (FMP) to maintain a strong
Community Rating System (CRS) Class Rating
The CRS recognizes, encourages, and rewards communities for activities that:
- Reduce and avoid flood damage to properties,
- Conduct outreach about flood risks, and
- Foster comprehensive floodplain management.
The Los Angeles County Public Works updated its FMP with these objectives in mind. The 2025 FMP addressed all County unincorporated area flood hazards using
FEMA's HAZUS Program
customized for the County to communicate flood risks to our unincorporated area community.
