Recycle your scrap tires to help reduce waste in our landfills.  Los Angeles County generates over 10 million waste tires annually.  Stray tires cause urban blight and act as a nesting area for vectors and mosquitoes, which threaten public health.  The County provides free tire collection events for residents to recycle their waste tires.  Commercial recyclers also exist to process waste tires from residents and businesses. The tires are often recycled into rubberized asphalt and slurry for street rehabilitation projects, where the County has partnered with CalRecycle.

Upcoming Events

Residents, bring your used tires to our free Tire Collection Events. Dispose of those stubborn tires in your place or community. Thousands of residents have taken advantage of this service.  Rims will be accepted.  No tires from businesses, nor tractor-sized tires. Contact the County at (626) 430-5540 for a tire hauling permit if you transport 10 or more tires.  See you there.
